The Sun Storage 6180 Array is a high-performance, enterprise-class, full 8 Gigabit per second (Gb/sec) I/O Fibre Channel solution with backend loop speeds of 2 or 4 Gb/sec. It is modular, rackmountable, and scalable from a single dual-controller tray (1×1) configuration to a maximum configuration of 1×7 with six additional CSM200 expansion trays behind one controller tray. The Sun Storage 7210 Unified Storage System provides a unified storage solution with up to 46 TB of capacity in an energy-efficient 4U package, and up to 142 TB with support for two J4500 expansion arrays. Two new configurations have been added for customer choice: one offers 48×500GB 7200 rpm enterprise-class SATA drives and the other provides 48×1TB 7200 rpm enterprise-class SATA drives.
