SAM-QFS Code is Now Open Sourced
Wednesday, March 19th, 2008SAM-QFS code is now part of the OpenSolaris community. The current development source is available as a gzipp’d tarball.
According to the SAM-QFS blog, “some third party components were removed for legal reasons. Therefore, this first posting won’t build unless the missing third party components are added back or coded around. This is a temporary solution until we either get legal permission to post the third party source or recode those sections so that they can be built with or without the third party components.”
Sun StorageTek QFS is a shared file system. QFS is the only shared file system Sun offers which can be shared or combined with Sun StorageTek SAM to provide a complete data management solution for managing data throughout its lifecycle across tiers of storage.
