SPECmail2009: New World record on T5240 1.6GHz Sun 7310 and ZFS

According to SPEC (Standard Performance Evaluation Corporation), “The SPECmail2009 benchmark measures the ability of corporate e-mail systems to meet today’s demanding e-mail users over fast corporate local area networks (LAN). The SPECmail2009 benchmark simulates corporate mail server workloads that range from 250 to 10,000 or more users, using industry standard SMTP and IMAP4 protocols.”

Sun has published SPECmail2009 results for the Sun Java Messaging server 7.2, which achieved a world record.
