Running OpenSolaris and Zones in the Amazon Cloud
Three-part Tutorial on OpenSolaris and Zones in AWS
Sean O’Dell has written a three-part tutorial on setting up Solaris Zones within an instance of OpenSolaris 2009.06 in the Amazon Cloud EC2 by utilizing the virtual networking features provided by Crossbow. His step-by-step guide explains how to get the environment up and running, and how to use Crossbow with NAT to build a complete virtual network connecting multiple Zones within a Solaris EC2 host. He also describes how to backup zones and save a fully configured environment and then clone it.
